Tonight, I cry

Tonight, I cry

Under the lampposts
Yellow dim light
Probably a little bit of rain
Shining pavements
The world was full of hope and wonder.
But,
Among the many holes that I am unable to fill,
the deepest one is obviously you.
Tonight, I cry, as
Back in 20 years where
Roses were simply red,
The sky was simply blue,
The paddy fields were simply yellow.
We used to have a stone turtle
Inside our water pot.
We used to sleep in the living room,
While the rain was heavy.
We used to make traps,
While wild boars came to hunt.
Tonight, I cry, as
I don’t see the light
I can’t find the way
I can’t find me
Tonight, I cry, as
I don’t have the stone turtle,
but the cold water is not warm enough
Therefore
Tonight, I cry.
